A night well spent

Escaped from city lights' dazzle
A friend to keep me company
Lying on the wooden pier
Dissolving in stillness and silence

The darkness decorated with stars
An intense bright streak surprised quiet

Then a hope of catching more falling stars...

To a dear friend

He doesn’t have to say "I love you"
but it's okay if he does.

He doesn't have to say, “the earth moves
and the stars are nestled in your eyes"
or anything like that;
but if he does, tell him to try not to laugh.

And if he gets carried away by the moment
and says things like "You are everything to me",
just take it at face value
and don't try to read eternity into it.
It may come one day when these things are true,
but don't count on it.

You know you don’t want to hold back the dawn
and are left with a broken heart
and tortured mind.

Remind yourself always:It might not be me.
Guess you know all these
But your unsaid “I love you”
doesn’t ease your life.

Wish you good luck
And happy birthday!

My dear friend

Tough Cookie

Year after year
A constant battle
She’s no longer gentle

Look and listen
Will you see the reason
What is underneath hidden

In her defence, up went the walls
To let her survive all of her falls

Will you help the weak to move on
Carry her when her strength is gone
Will you shout out loud and clear
Even she refuses to hear
“When life hands you doubt
There my arms are reaching out”

Yet she doesn’t drop a tear
Will you still hold her near

Cold-hearted???

Someone said London is a place full of cold-hearted people. Is that true?

We hear what people say. We see what people do. Have we ever listened to people’s hearts? We still remember when our hearts were broken and those unbearable pains. So we now believe protection is important. We think distance is necessary. Will we still feel the heat of each other’s heart from far away?

Are we all cold-hearted in other's eyes?
